Shattered. Abandoned. Forgotten. Used & abused. Like a stolen relic locked up in a dungeon vault until it might be of use again - 'after all this time', for 'truly desperate creatures'.
With more & more footage emerging from the highly anticipated film, this new cell-Loki screenshot just lent itself to paint, as heart-wrenching counterpart to the other more 'cheerful' scenes I did.
Unlike the other two in the cell-Loki series looking more vivid & much plainer hair & shirt-wise, almost sloppy, see here admiraldemoy.deviantart.com/ar… & here admiraldemoy.deviantart.com/ar… I made him look a bit paler here, to express the utter desolation of his condemnation he's been suffering for a long time up to that point. I refrained from too much highlights this time despite the bright illumination, & added some smudges to the wall we never noticed before though left out that wall seam.
This time I made greater efforts with the torn, stained shirt - though it looks brown in the scene, it could well be something else in front of the lens rather than on the shirt. The tousled hair I filled in a bit more & left it without any lustre to look flat like the browner brows to reflect his worn-out, broken self. I gave him tear-washed-green eyes & more visible lashes again since Tom/Loki HAS very long lashes but are only visible when dyed or on close-up, & tears streaking down his cheek that weren't in the scene, though he no doubt cried himself into more despair the way he looks here, with sadness pouring from him as profound as his incarceration is hypocritical.
