Loki - The Dark World XVI Version I

Description

Here's my latest Beksinski-Loki composition - based on this original Beksinski > beksinski.dmochowskigallery.ne… combined with that infamous deleted TDW scene with Loki screaming in his cell in raging anguish, to create an altogether different nightmarish horror for him to suffer. A very dark world indeed, with a little creature lurking in the dark with only eyes shining out from the deep recess of his dungenous world, which by all means could in fact be a friend coming to comfort him & ease his pain.

Looking at the original & the Loki images, it becomes clear just how much I changed on them all, cloning in extra skeletal hands & arms to accommodate the figure, clawing on his hair I filled in, & grabbing his leg. Giving him some more bruises & bloodied hands, I however couldn't bring myself to wound his face. Adding some light holes to give it the illusion of a bright outside world unreachable to him, with a crack in the sealed door, the obscure egg-shaped object was made to drip some luminous substance on his leg. Post-edit colour-saturating & extra shading, I noise & texture-overlaid the finished manip to equalise the overall image & give it a more organic, deeper feel.

Here is Version II, please read rest of description for it there > admiraldemoy.deviantart.com/ar…

I have only just come to this picture, via a general Loki search on Google (god bless google LOL)

Speechless. Never heard of Beksinski before; now I am hooked.

This really appeals to the Gothic in me - like a much darker, more visceral version of Sarah in the "Helping Hands" shaft above the oubliette in "Labyrinth"!

Perfect :)
