Loki - A Study in Seduction IX

A new digital painting in the Study in Seduction series, in time for Christmas.

Body is based on a shot of a model posing in a fur coat, I buffed up a bit, adding a few freckles Tom has. Wearing this grey, short-hair coat, I thought it not luxurious enough for my sexy Loki rendition, so I turned it into a luscious long-hair fur blanket instead to wrap him in. Painting in each hair, sharpening some in places for more definition & recloning it in part, I gave it colour-shading & highlights to make it look like real fur. I copied the bit of leather strap from the belt around his hand to allude to possible leather pants. 

After this, I'll never do fur again. Took far longer than this older work or the rest, not only because of changed techniques (I'm not even sure works on this looking a bit 'frosty', rather than the old soft-focus style) > admiraldemoy.deviantart.com/ar… Seriously, fur.
