Loki - Ragnarok IV Eternal Flame

I started on this variation some time after I had finished the blue version of the original dagger-flipping Loki, getting the idea of an epic inferno unfolding behind Loki on the Rainbow Bridge, coming from a Beksinski work I then referenced to add a giant firepit. I changed the hair a bit, re-coloured/highlighted areas, polished up the armour a bit more, sharpened areas, but I was never happy with it, hence shelved it for a long time. Then I saw Thor Ragnarok in October (in the UK), & thought, hey, wasn't such a bad idea after all, with Asgard (sadly!) going up in flames!    

So I removed the daggers & had Loki rather flip the glowing Tesseract in one hand ,  after he had eyed it in Odin's treasure vault & later no doubt took for safekeeping for one, since it cannot just be left floating about as a powerful Infinity (Space) Stone, & because he obviously needed it as teleportation device to get away from Surtur's instant rampage ripping through the palace utterly obliterating everything, with no time to escape by normal means. Tho Loki can teleport his real self as per one of his many powers we hardly ever saw showcased, (& therefore did not really need that little ship to get to the palace, but never mind), they sadly had him not demonstrate so in the film, & he obviously did not get back to Thor in it. 

Then I thought, wait, Hela was talking about & handling The Eternal Flame, so I changed the firepit to look more rounded like the one in their vault, & added flames for Loki to play with in his other hand too.  After more reworking & retouching, giving him green-blue eyes instead, & still not happy, I finally added Surtur's crown in the firepit , Loki had used to bring him back to life with by invoking The Eternal Flame on Thor's wish, & therefore destruction to Asgard, fulfilling the 'prophecy' of Ragnarok.  

I dated it when I had started on it, but really only finished it last month, now everything in place for Loki to not only walk away from the actual inferno of Ragnarok, his very home he once ruled in peace now lost forever, but symbolically hold The Eternal Flame in one, & the Tesseract in the other hand, all leading neatly into Infinity War, hence the title.
