Loki - The Dark World XXI Version I

Thor: She [mother] wouldn't want us to fight.
Loki: She wouldn't exactly be surprised.

Which can only mean that they fought before - & one can only imagine how that went & how often to what results. Here we have a Loki severely restrained, his magic rendered ineffective, unable to defend himself fully, & near tears again, after Thor just manhandled & nearly punched him in the equally angry, fearful & mostly hurt face. Very brave, Thor. 

Though the scene had no tears, I added some again just so to underline the 'imagined slights' he endured through the ages no one really cared about - & were not ever imagined. Or the bullying. 

This piece took days to finish, with a rough-spray background, lots of textures & details again, after I wanted to return to the smoother soft focus style, & then thought, sod it, back to high-contrast, more vibrancy, the sharpening & shining it all up, especially the armour, metal & skin. Even the Skiff got a special 'rustic metal' treatment, though I couldn't be asked to add all that black debris & made it look sleaker & cleaner. The hair is entirely freestyle & filled in more. I gave him green eyes again, with a faintly multi-coloured, textured skin tone rather than uniform porcelain teint. At first I wanted to omit the red/white light beam, but then I thought it makes a nice accent - & excuse to shine things up even more - & added it after all.
